Found it in manual/images and moved it - not that I thought it'd fix the problem, it's just that the error bugged me. Restarted the server with no error that time. Did notice this though:

Quote

httpd.exe: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 5.189.164.137 for Server Name

Apart from that, php test still doesn't run. Going to restart the computer and see what happens.

No luck. Here's the code I attempt to run:

<?php
phpinfo();
?>

Don't think it's the problem though.

LoadModule php5_module "C:\php\php5apache2_2.dll"
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
PHPIniDir "C:\php"

This.. also works, in terms of not crashing Apache. No PHP still. I'm just messing around with this for now, hoping to find something that may work.

Mother of Jesus I did it.

#LoadModule php_module c:/php/php5apache2_2.dll
#AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
#PHPIniDir "c:\php"

Copied these lines which I got from the book, but changed php_module to php5_module.

Thanks a lot for all of your help.

I must say that I still find it a little disconcerting that I found the solution this way, though.

Glad you figured it out. I am a bit surprised that it would work without the AddType included.... maybe you just didn't remove the one that I provided in my example.
