Opening a LAN URL to the world

Posted 22 August 2012 - 09:27 AM

Hi,

I have developed a website using netbeans and it works fine internally in LAN. Now I want to open it to the world (WAN). I don't want to buy a domain name. I have a static IP address and connection.

Now I have a url something like below.

http://105.61.50.172.../myapplication/

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Here is a site to get a free domain name: http://www.freedomain.co.nr/
Other than that there are several tutorials around the web on how to setup a web host from home, these should help

Also remember to open port 80, if you haven't already.
