We have a project in our class where we need to make a webpage that accepts input info's like name, age, etc then move the datas to mysql. I'm just a noob in java and webpage like this is better done in php. I wonder if I should do this with java or just learn php. I'm just concerned that it might slow me down learning java. Can you give me some advice?

Moved to Web Development.
You could make an Applet to handle this. How well do you know Swing and JDBC though? If not, I'd learn PHP. It's easy to pick up if you know your Java.

JApplets are close enough to JFrames in terms of usage. There are plenty of tutorials online like the Oracle tutorials.
