Your signature when editing profile?

Can anybody quickly explain the concept of the signature in your profile information please???

look at macosxnerd101 .

he has a sig

I have a sig ---which is the code not tested one

basically it is somethign for you to use or not to use

some people advertise their siteso n it some people just have pictures but all in all it is just for you to decide

The signature is same as the the sigs in emails. It appears after each of your posts. You can add whatever you want to it. I just have some quotes.
