You might want to see someone about that. There are some solutions for that sort of problem these days.

I use humane mouse traps:

I use cats. I don't know about humane, but it is all natural.

Cats love killing stuff. Some will even eat their kills. I once had a cat that seemed to really enjoy eating carpenter ants. Crickets, millipedes, mice, moles... if it moves, it's a cat toy.

I suppose. Not my area of expertise, though.

When I was a teenager, we had a cat that liked to play baseball with mice. She would catch them, toss them up in the air, and then smack them across the kitchen against the wall or sliding glass door. She broke them all pretty quickly. If they survived and squirmed a little, she'd eat them, otherwise she'd lose interest. Definitely not a humane solution, but a damned entertaining one.

I had a cat that would play hockey with cockroaches. After they stopped moving, he would leave their carcasses for me to collect and go off in search of his next puck.

My first cat did this. We called it playing volley ball. She did it with toys though, not actual rodents. She landed one on the kitchen table once. That cat could get some air!

I would up saddled with a stack of kittens when I was in college. One day, one of them came in with a leaf in his mouth that he'd caught, and he dropped it at my feet, proud as you please.

What could I do? I made big fuss about the mighty hunter and he looked satisfied.

He was always a little slow, that one, but a heart of gold.

Yeah, I guess volleyball is a more appropriate analogy. The first time I saw it, I thought it was a toy until it started running after impact. Talk about mind-blowing for a stoned 16 year old...

We have 9 cats back home and none of them catch rats. Once I found 2 of the cats sharing a bowl of rice with a rat between them. Talk about waste of space. One of the cats did catch and eat lizards and cockroaches though..

They're just sociable, that's all.

Stupid spiders. Sitting around in their stupid webs. Catching stupid insects for stupid food. Acting like they own the place. I got an idea. How about you get off your lazy ass and get a job to help pay for that water/heat/space that you're taking up? Stupid, lazy spiders.
