Users online on my program

hello im new to this site, I am trying to Find a directions to start , i'm trying to find out which directions to go so i can start learning a way (by self reading)to get where my program will display users online , i want to be able to find out how many people are using my program at one time,even if i can display it on my website, i believe i can do it with SQL, but i'm not sure if that's a way , i been searching a lot of places online but never found a clear answer, i do not know where to get started ,thank you , i have a web site with SQL also if that helps, thank you again..im sorry i do not have code, that's why i'm asking for a good point in the right direction.. thank you again.

have a look at the sql sysprocesses table.

This really is more of a Databases question than a VB6 question. Moved to Databases.

Take a look at using a SELECT COUNT query. If you have a table tracking user activity, you could base it on last active.
