form submit

Is it possible to do a form submit purely in VB6? I can use an IE instance, but this is suboptimal.

Basically, I need to do a "blind" submit via post method to a web server via a VB application.

I wouldn't see why you wouldn't be able too... though it would be crude and rude in all reality. You could just have the form itself write whatever was entered in a TextBox to a text doc... then have your web server/page access the text doc.. but thats just a guess.

Yes, it can be done. 1 way is to add webbrowser control(controls - Microsoft internet controls) to the form.

To submit you can use something like:
webbrowser1.document.all.forms(0).submit()
or
webbrowser1.document.all.forms(0).click()
