Do I need an NVIDIA GPU for this course?

Posted 31 August 2012 - 04:23 PM

I am going to take a course in parallel algorithms and we will use this text book.

But I have an intel GPU. What do you think? The professor has not yet answered my email and I need to know ASAP - registration ends at midnight.

I would think you need an Nvidia GPU as CUDA is a Nvidia Technology. I believe Intel supports OpenCL which is *similar* but not sure if it would word for your course

Anyone ever took this course before? Seems very unpopular.
