Always was curious why some people like IT Outsourcing and some can't bear the idea of Outsourcing. There are many pros and cons so would be interested in your opinion.

Does this really need to dredged up. It's A international comunity here outsource to one is jobs for another.

outsourcing is only a symptom of the true problem. our economic system isnt designed for the well being of the average person.

Interesting way to evaluate the pros and cons.
Personally, I think David Ricardo was right, and free trade tends to maximize economic activity to the most general benefit attainable, and restrictions on economic activity tend to benefit selected groups to the disadvantage of the population as a whole, so outsourcing generally isn't something I have a problem with.
I do have a problem with companies which prioritize minimizing cost above important aspects of development like quality of code and maintainability and documentation and such like, but that's not a product of outsourcing, that's a product of short-sighted next-quarter thinking, and you can find as many WTF examples per capita in in-sourced code as you can in out-sourced code.
My turn: what is it that you like least about leading and slanted questions?
