They announced a better e-ink base version at $69 with some performance improvements.
There is a new "Paperwhite" that still has an e-ink background but is backlit and has a higher resolution than its predecessors. Edit: this is $119
The new Fire is a 7 inch tablet for $159.99. This price point is very competitive against the Google Nexus 7, and you can bet Amazon has a better unboxing experience, technical merits aside =p
They also have a Kindle Fire HD, which is 10 inches, with some improvements to Wifi speed, anti-glare, and some other things that I don't know about because I've never owned a Fire.

I've resisted the Fire for a while because I had an e-reader (original "Fiona" Kindle) and a laptop. I might pick up one of the new Fires though, and I'm pretty sure I'm sold on the paperwhite for my general reading usage.
