if you want to program the second one seems a bit more focused on that

It is a pretty cut and dry process - one has a networking and hardware bend, and the other is all software focused. Seems pretty straightforward.

hmm networking or programming courses if you want to be a programmer----
I will go with um maybe Programming...
you can always take the networking as an elective

Programming is fundamentally about problem solving, and requires an ability to evaluate a number of good options to pick the a best one. Start practicing now.

Personally I would go with the second one hands down. Then again, I've never been to Collage, just College

I would also like to point out that from looking at the programs, the first one is an actual degree track, while the second one is just a certification. So really it's comparing apples and oranges. I'd say go for the first one and take the development track.

i looked at SAIT (yes i live in Calgary!) and applied. i have a bad experience with them. first of all, they allowed me to apply for a semester that was already full and more students were not being considered, without even telling me. there went $200. secondly, their programs (atleast when i looked at them) have like... no math. at all. the school i'm going to online goes up to Calc III and even has better programming classes than SAIT. i think math is pretty much essential for being successful in programming. maybe look around a bit more? i think U of C had a better program, if i recall correctly.
