jQuery post

Posted 17 September 2012 - 12:52 AM

I am trying to grab data from a website which uses jQuery behind an expand button (+). I cannot find any code in page source. Using Http header, I see it's a POST with a URL:

http://example.com/abc.jhtml?action=getValue&itemValue=ding&sCode=733-081&time=new%20Date()

I test with this jQuery post, but get no response, and nothing in error console? if the URL is wrong, where can I find the URL?

$(document).ready(function(){
	$("p").click(function(){
    action="getValue";
    itemValue="ding";
    sCode="733-081";
    time=new Date();
    $.post("http://example.com/abc.jhtml",{action:action,itemValue:itemValue,sCode:sCode,time:time},function(data){alert('success');});
	});
})

in HTML:
<p>+</p>

I think that even JSONP does not execute script tags that are present in the response. hence there should no data be present stemming from any JS operation.
