hey, i'm looking for something i could use as credit to put on my resume. I'm fluent in HTML, CSS & PHP. I'm a novice in Ajax and Java.

Are you asking about hijacking someone's project, or what exactly are you trying to do? If you want to show off a project.. well kudos.. make one!

i see i should probably rephrase; i'd like to help someone on a project so i have something to put on my resume.

I would suggest finding an open source project that you are interested and helping out there. I don't believe that many people here work on many projects that could be easily picked up and continued without a bit of homework, but if they did it is likely a personal project that employers won't have heard of -- and thus isn't really worth putting on a resume.

Hopefully that makes sense.
