I am going to start a body weight exercise circuit three times a week starting today. I went by the hardware store and grabbed another pipe and some giant nails so I could add another bar to my pull up bar posts. I will mount it lower so I can do inverted pull-ups. I am going to start with push-ups, pull-ups, chin-ups, inverted pull-ups, squats or jumping squats, and walking lunges. Are there any other good bodyweight exercises that anyone does?
I have looked at some workout making apps on android but they all just seem either confusing or cost money to get some of the good features, so I am going to make my own. Another thing I can throw in my portfolio and it will help me keep motivated on both my fitness and programming skills.

Thought I'd change my routine up a little yesterday and went for a 10 mile hike, which took me over some seriously steep hills. Wasn't feeling too bad afterwards, but since this morning I can barely walk. I have to tiptoe everywhere else it feels like my shins are going to snap

Ive really fallen off my horse. Lately it seems ive been eating like a cow but the scale says ive only gained 1 pound. Quitting group training has had a bad effect on me two. Ive also not been to the ghm kn about a week and a half, though that was mostly due to a hectic work schedule and having sprained my elbow.

I've been traveling for work recently and because I didn't want to run in either Philadelphia or Outer Bumfuckia, Michigan in the dead of winter, I fell back on my C25K routine. Was coming to the end of week 6 when the travel crap started...so I decided to fall back to week 4 to start over.
Until today where I mistook the week 4 day 2 run for week 5 day 2. I was rather disgusted with myself this morning when I finished because it kicked my ass...only to discover that I'd skipped a week. So now I'm undisgusted.

Looks like it's getting to be biking weather, I've ridden in three days this week.
The drivers didn't get any less stupid in the last two months while I was riding the subway.

I've only dropped 2 pounds in the Biggest Loser thing at work thus far. There's a reason I didn't drop more, but just accept that I'm getting older and have had to start taking pills that jam up the works a bit a lot. I've now started taking pills to counteract the effects of the pills. I'm pretty sure that's the first sign of advancing age. I fucking hate taking medication.

Slow initial weight gain when you quit working out and start eating more is usually because you're losing muscle, and it weighs more. I haven't gained a single pound since I blew my back out in January, but I know for a fact that some of my body mass has converted. The VA is talking surgery, and my chiro is no longer saying that it's a terrible idea. You know it's not good when you come back from a CT scan and they prescribe you morphine without ever asking about your pain level...

I started my bodyweight circuit and actaully recruited my wife to do it with me. I think if I can keep her motivated for 6 weeks she will see results and start exercising without prodding. These last 10-15 pounds just don't want to come off easy but I can still results and feel a hell of a lot better than I did at this time last year.
