i've been out with a back injury for 3 weeks now. had my first workout yesterday without any stabbing pains, just uncomfortable in some positions. luckily, provincial weightlifting championships are this Saturday and my coach is making me compete. let's see if i can win while being injured. yayy!

Hopefully you don't make it worse!

Did my first workout today since the half marathon. Hoping to get back into regular running training tomorrow, but we'll see how the quads feel.

despite being injured and not lifting hardly at all for the past month, i took the gold at the alberta provincial championships and actually met, exactly, my best competition lifts (the clean and jerk and total being a record, which was already held by myself)

Good job! I am just stoked to continue maintaining my fitness and weight loss through the shitty season of cold and holiday food assault.

this time is very difficult. many people on my team are getting injured or sick because of the transition to winter. just keep training and you're okay

Despite Thanksgiving, I still lost a net of about 4 lbs this month. Just this week I lost 1.4. Now just to survive next month: xmas, my birthday, and new years.

I also survived Thanksgiving. The scale isn't showing any big losses this week but I have been working pretty heavy on body weight exercises and I notice my upper body getting bigger. I just finished my second full 3 mile run this week while running the entire time. My pace varies but overall it is nice to not have to walk. According to my app I burn a whole lot more calories in less time which is very nice for the weight loss. At this point I am not really worried about the number on the scale as long I keep my fitness level up and keep seeing some kind of results whether it be numbers on the scale or increase in muscle tone.

I lost zero pounds over Thanksgiving, but I did lose inches. That smaller size jeans I bought so I would have them when the time came? Wearing them right now, babeh!
So now I gotta shop for another fucking pair of smaller jeans. Bah!

I too, need smaller jeans. Some fit fine, but 2 pair are getting pretty loose. I also need a new belt. Not gonna lie, my heaviest was 235lb-ish, but I'm about ready to break the 200lb barrier here soon for the first time in, like, 2 years. :3 That's right, I've given up shame enough to share numbers. This is rare. I'll even tell you my age! ;D (I'll be 23 in a few weeks) There, I've broken every female rule. lol.
EDIT: I accidentally a word.

I hit the 20lbs lost mark over the weekend after the Thanksgiving stall. A cold front blew in this week so in preparation I went out and purchased some actual workout clothes. I got some pants and one of those shirts that is suppose to pull the moisture away from your body so you don't freeze to death from running. Anyone have any experiences or suggestions on what works the best? I have been just running in cotton shorts and t-shirts.

that's probably more than enough really. it's best not to overthink these things too much (they turn into excuses relatively easy)
just make sure you got some underoos that properly support your balls and some comfortable shoes. then just put some clothes on.
