I have stayed away from all the supplements and pills, but it just depends on what you are working toward and if money is riding on you losing weight then you gotta do what you gotta do. Just be careful.
I almost made it to me goal of 3 miles in 30 minutes last night but I missed by .06 miles. which really amounts to about 30 seconds. I hit the "wall" about the 9 minute mark and I usually just run through it and feel good again a few minutes later but this time at the 18 minute mark it was still there. I have never had it last that long and I just had to stop and walk for 45 seconds then I was fine. Maybe I will get it next week.

Good read. I hear that often echoed at 'The Art of Manliness'.

I didn't even read the article, but I saw that giant human sized hamster wheel and decided that I never wanted something so much in my entire life.

Doesn't look that hard to build. The apartment folk may be concerned about the noise.

it's hard to take pictures while doing deadlifts.

I'm with neotifa... Turns out 2 weeks of not being in a gym and eating bad food is negative on the body. Who knew?
I'm barely able to get through my sets now. I'm skimping on the last set (heavy lifting this week: 70% of max, every set do +10 for 3 sets, been doing the second set's weight twice
) and I'm barely able to lift at the ability I used to be able to. I'm hoping it'll be back up before we do maxes again (the semester's almost over) so I don't go down any on my maxes.
Weight was weird... I was at 188 when I got back. Started my diet again and figured it was going to take awhile to get back to where I used to be (180. Goal 140, but I got lazy/happy with my weight. On a -2lb/week diet). A couple days later, I'm down to 184. Yesterday it was 183. Now it's 181. Odd.

@cc - If you have a good diet and good workout regimen, then any weight gains and muscle losses that you see over a few weeks of no gym and bad eating are relatively easy to reverse. Your body's natural state is one of increasing fitness right now; just like the gains of a two-week diet and 5 workout sessions will vanish within a week after you stop, so too will the losses from the opposite. Good on you for picking it back up.

What kind of progress has stopped/reversed? Weight loss? Run-time improvements? All of the above?
