The scale numbers continue to remain firm, only slightly shifting due to what I'm certain is water weight at the time. However, upon traveling homeward this weekend (first time in 5/6 weeks) I received many compliments about how much weight it looked like I have lost! ^^

I may not be losing the 20lbs by March I had originally sought after, but I am definitely going to continue to push myself harder in my workouts to continue getting more fit :gunsmilie:

Yeah, I think there has to come a point where you're no longer chasing a number on the scale, or "fitness" will never really become a lifestyle, just a goal that has an end. If you keep working out and eating healthy, your weight will end up right where it needs to be.

That's very true, and goals are certainly important to set, especially if you have trouble with fitness in general. I only meant that eventually exercise, good diet, active lifestyle, etc. have to transition from "something you're doing" to "part of who you are", and at that point numbers on the scale can actually become a problem. If you stay healthy, your weight will stabilize into it's healthy range. If you start trying to jack with that, you can end up making yourself less healthy just to change a number. In Analytic's case, he's not seeing his weight change the way he hoped, but if he's on a good workout plan and diet, then that number is merely one way of many to gauge where he is physically, and behind that unchanging number is a massive amount of fat burning and muscle building that is totally obscured because weight only reflects mass in terms of gravity, not composition.

I can happily say I haven't missed a day of my workout schedule since starting this new regiment back in December! ^^ If I were to take a day off or something, I'd probably go insane with so much free time. The nights in between the gym when I have classes, it's difficult falling asleep simply from sitting in the office 7:30-4 and class 5-10:30 without ever burning the energy off I have from the day.

I think my main push for the scale numbers is just being sick of looking up on the health charts and seeing that for my height and weight, I'm medically termed obese. I've always been a bigger guy, but I have never in my opinion been 'obese'!

Still working on the proper diet side of this lifestyle, but all things will come in time. I got the workouts going, and some concern on calorie intake, so my next step is going to be proper sleep portions. 6-6.5hrs isn't healthy even if you don't lift weights! :hammer:

Hmm.. odd. Yeah with the protein powders it's all about dialing in a taste/texture that you can barely palette.. hoping for anything more is just futile.

Body Fortress is delicious. I got 6 star this time. Blech.

I did my fitness assessment mile run. Clocked in at 12:54, which was the first time being under 13 mins since 8th grade. Then I did the group fitness for the 55 mins on the treadmill alternating between 13 and 3 incline. Did 2.5 miles. I'm pooped!

Also beeny, I don't have a computer with internet anymore, and my phone does the best it can. My tablet's taking me forever to type.

I fell off the wagon last week - being on-call destroyed any sane schedule I had. I just got off... call this week so I can get back into it. Hoping the fixes I made prevent any more all nighters in my next rotation.

Today is the official start to our workplace Biggest Loser competition.

I weighed-in this morning. I've gained 30 pounds since October. Stress eating is a bitch. And now I'm a fat ass.
