Introduction

Hello:

As you might surmise from my screen name, my name is Nathan. I've been programming in some form or another since the early nineties. I still miss having a Commodore 64.

I enjoy esoteric languages, but do most of my practical programming in either C++ or C#. My work experience is almost entirely in web development in ColdFusion, Perl, and PHP.

I'm fairly obsessed with computers, and spend most of my free time programming or reading about programming. That said, I consider myself a fairly average programmer. I'm hoping to change that by becoming active in some of the great online communities I've discovered lately (this one included), and hopefully eventually contributing to some open source projects.
