asset monitoring and tracking system

hi everyone,

i am driving to develop a use case and a normalized database for asset monitoring and tracking system.

i have designed a normalized database(i think).

the use case preconditions,actors and role, assumptions have been designed.
am so confused if am getting it right.
here is the use case design.

USECASE NAME: ASSET MANAGEMENT
Identification:
Number: IF001
Author:”Ifeoma”
Purpose: system wants to manage and track all the IT assets including the user and location.
Primary actors: Operator, system
Secondary actor: administrator
Trigger: web
Pre-conditions: Operator must be authenticated.
Post conditions:
Operations Successful
Description:
 IT department wants to manage and track the entire IT asset.
 User identification authenticated using username and password
 Operator selects application type
 Operator checks asset status
 Operator checks location
 Operator updates asset
 Operator adds user
 Operator confirms details entered
 save
Assumptions
Login access denied?
Re-enter username and password.
Re-check form.
 Add application selected?
System will not display edit.
System display form
 Duplicate information?
Re-enter information.
Re-check/ save form


can someone assist me please.

What WE might consider a use case and what YOUR PROFESSOR might consider a use case could be two different things. You need to go to your teacher to find out if you're on the right track.

And this doesn't belong in Databases, it belongs in Software Development, so I will move it there.
