my fyp is a web based socializing platform. Unlike Facebook and other networks which are for the whole world, our platform is a centre for my university only so they can communicate with another. Alumni and students studying in Bahria University will be able to collaborate with another and can discuss on issues related to market value of the respected program, projects, assignments, and other issues regarding the university. Our site will also provide career counseling. And using LinkedIn we can fetch their professional information and using Facebook we can fetch their social information and social behavior which can help people to know the person better. And through this platform we can keep a track of our alumni as in where they work and they can share their experience in order to update the currents students of the respective field. Besides that every students will be able to make their ID with respect to BIMCS for example student@bimcs.edu.pk.
my question is when and what should i start with?

Sounds like the first version of Sharepoint when it was first rolled out for beta... part social network, part wiki, part document repository, part stepping stones to other social networks.

Will you also have a Twitter-like/Facebook newsfeed-like feature as well?

Q: How do you eat an elephant?
A: One little bite at a time.
If this is your final year project, and it is rather grand in scope - then I'm worried when you ask "Where do I start?"
This project is no different than any other project: You start with planning. You start at the white board. Take a look in my signature block. See that link for "This is your homework help article"? Read it.

Absolutely not. We aren't a code writing service. Nor are we a service to help you cheat on your homework. You are being graded on your skill and comprehension, not ours. If you know you aren't capable of doing this project, then lower the bar and pick a new project within your skill set.

Nah nah you didn't get my point I'm not asking you to make me cheat on my project but what I was aking for was a little supervision and support as to what my next step should be

There are several good tutorials for how to write programs: I've written a couple. Check the tutorials section, or my blog for a list.

- Go to your white board.
- List the features wanted.
- Block out the parts that communicate with each other.
- Block out the objects those parts must pass around.
- Start building up properties and methods within those objects.
- As you need new features, add more properties and methods.
