The first link from Google

That should explain what you need in order to do this with Windows 7.

I didn't read your post simple because you demanded that I do so. I read the previous one in it's entirety before I replied. Please don't feel the need to be so rude in your post. No one like to help an ass.

Is that clear enough of an answer for you?

Yeah No2 did, just because you don't like the answer doesn't mean its not correct. With a mini laptop, you've got two options with XP, re-install with a external CD drive, or remove the harddrive and put it in a HDD dock on another PC.

I am certain we fully understand the question. If you refuse to get a portable cd drive then you'll need to do what Atli suggested and get the usb download tool or just type in "install windows xp from usb". There are a ton of answers.

No one knows what you were doing, and that means it is nigh impossible for us to be able to help you. I'll say "write a clearly answear[sic]".

In all likely-hood it isn't the purchasing of the cd/dvd drive, it's that the OP doesn't have a legitimate copy of Windows, just like they forgot their password.

Please clearly ask questions that you actually want answered, not give excuses for us to help you pirate software.

Yeah I was already working under the assumption of "92% illegit hardware/software, 5% legit, 3% it is a toaster" paradigm.
