I'm currently working on a proof of concept for my colleagues at university.
The issue I'm currently having is that I can't seem to find out how to log 802.11 (wireless) probe frames. I'm not sure whether VB.NET is capable of this without using the win32 api and regardless of how much I look I can't seem to find a solution.
Here's an example:
Device (my phone in this case) broadcasts it's probe frame to find my home network. [It's running in active mode].
I use my laptop to log the probe frame sent by my device.
Unless I'm completely mistaken it should be a pretty straightforward exercise but for the life of me I can't figure it out. Any corrections to anything I've written are welcome.

Ah no I apologise I wasn't clear enough, I was wondering whether something of this nature was possible using VB, I suspected I would have to use the win32 api but I can't seem to find anything on MSDN regarding my specific need, I thought someone may have experience in a similar area or be able to point me in the right direction.
