This post has material that goes into the hardware section and the coding section but it's about how computers work so I just posted it in the lounge so everyone could see.
I was on ted.com and I found a very interesting video about a course that you can do from home that allows you to make your whole computer from nothing. You build the hardware, build the OS, build a compiler, build games from a certain (forgot the specifics on that) and basically learn the full ins and outs of a computer. I'm posting it here just because some of it deals with hardware and I thought you guys would be interested. Here is the video of the creator of the course.
