College course about how everything in a computer works.

Posted 06 October 2012 - 10:20 AM

This post has material that goes into the hardware section and the coding section but it's about how computers work so I just posted it in the lounge so everyone could see.
I was on ted.com and I found a very interesting video about a course that you can do from home that allows you to make your whole computer from nothing. You build the hardware, build the OS, build a compiler, build games from a certain (forgot the specifics on that) and basically learn the full ins and outs of a computer. I'm posting it here just because some of it deals with hardware and I thought you guys would be interested. Here is the video of the creator of the course.

Click here to go to the website showing information on the course and what you can do.

Please don't open topics unless you want to have a discussion about the subject. We can find interesting things on the internet on our own.

I just want to say... regardless of the pointlessness of his post... "Biscuit Tickler" is a fucking brilliant username.
