I just found out about this, and figured I would let the fellow members of Dream in code know. This virus that is going around from what I understand is only spread through Skype, a popular VOIP program. I found out about this when a friend sent me an IM saying "lol is this your new profile pic?" curious to know what she was talking about I clicked a link which was shortened by Google URL shortener. When you click the link they send you, it will download an exe through your web browser. When this happened I was sorta confused as to why my profile pic would be an exe, so I virus scanned it. The results of the virus scan can be found Here I have not run the exe myself, but have been told by friends that if you do you get a virus, and it will also send the same message to all your friends. I have also been told that this virus sends all of your message logs, and contact list to the virus creator. This is about all I know, I just figured I would let all of you know.

Sure, I clicked a url from a friend. I didn't get the virus myself because I am smart enough to not run ridiculous exe's. I just figured I would tell dream in code about it

If you're unsure about the legitimacy of a shortened url from TinyURL, you can preview it by prepending "preview" to the url.

Example: http://preview.tinyurl.com/1c2

But of course, if your friend suddenly sounds like an arabian prince who needs to launder a million zimbabwe dollars, it's safe to assume that tinyurl has nothing of interest.
