Hi!
i want a software i have written to update itself when i upload a new version of it to the server. It should update only if the program on the server is newer. What's the best practice when finding if the program version on the server is newer? Is it comparing the creation date, or version number of the exe? or some other thing?
Thanks.

Just use the ClickOne Deployment "feature":
.NET 2.0 documentation: http://msdn.microsof...d(v=vs.80).aspx
Current documentation: http://msdn.microsof...(v=vs.110).aspx
