One Table, Multiple output boxes question

Posted 09 October 2012 - 04:19 PM

I'm making a program for a friend of mine and I'm running into a problem in getting table information to display.

I have (to start) two combo boxes, both boxes are tied to a database.
when you make a selection from the combo box, two text boxes next to the box will fill in with information about that choice.

I solved the issue with both combo boxes showing the same information, but I cannot get the text boxes to display separate information for two separate selections.

Any ideas?

Using VB.net 2010 Express

Private Sub MechaFrm_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
        'TODO: This line of code loads data into the 'AbilDataSet.Frame_Abilities' table. You can move, or remove it, as needed.
        Me.Frame_AbilitiesTableAdapter.Fill(Me.AbilDataSet.Frame_Abilities)
        AbilCmb1.SelectedIndex = 21
        AbilCmb1.DataSource = AbilDataSet.Frame_Abilities.Copy()

    End Sub

The text boxes are have the text value set to the value on the table (drag and drop)
I tried code similar to
AbilCmb1.DataSource = AbilDataSet.Frame_Abilities.Copy()

but i cannot get DataBindings to process
