I don't have patience.

I'd be immediately calling for a meeting with them right then and there where I explain to them the facts of life.

So they screwed up, and you have to pay the consequences.

No... they screwed up, and you're their to HELP them fix the problem. You'll do what is possible with in reason, but they should understand the limitations of such a request.

And if they don't understand those facts of life... well I'll cut a bitch for you. Just give me a ring, I've been looking for a reason to go up there and visit my nephew.

I'm proud of you, kiparsky. You rose above middle school level on that one. I lol'd.

@LoD - I would love to let you cut a bitch. However, this particular one holds my job in the palm of his hand. And it's a shitty time to be out of work. Especially with a medication-dependent child. So I will grit my teeth, force a smile, and say, "Yes, sir. Whatever you need, sir." It's a ridiculous request and an intense aggravation on my part, but it's not any sort of ethic violation, so I will deal with it. But I'll be damned if I'm not going to vent my ass off here along the way.

If you are going to vent your ass, I recommend doing it in his face, just so he knows the shit he puts you through. Or, at least, the shit like smell...

Understandable.

I'd still at least make a comment about the slipping his mind puts you in a tight position. Like,

"Yes, sir, I'll get on that. I only wish you had gotten to me sooner, this is far more than a 3 day job. ... cough ... you twat ... sir."
