XAMPP Error 403 and Error 20024

Hi all,

I am trying to take a clients website and move it from their old server to their new one. Before I wanted to put it on the new server I wanted to test it and work on it locally and get it ready for the new server. So I am using XAMPP to set up the local environment. I had to change the port on the localhost to 8080 instead of the default 80 because the System was using that port. I used FTP to grab all the files from the older server and moved them into my htdocs folder on the xampp directory. Open it up online I see the webpage and it looks good except the iframe that links out the a php page is saying Error 403.

So I did my research and went to the httpd-xampp.conf file and changed the Deny to Allow like every forum says to. After I do that nothing changes.

That is what it looks like after I made the change. Pretty sure that is right but that doesn't work to fix the 403 error.

So I had a look in the error.log file and found it was giving me a core error of 20024 The given path is misformatted or contained invalid characters: [client ::1:65255] AH00127: Cannot map GET /the/file/path. So I am running out of places to look to where to fix this.

I will try anything so please help if you can.

403 forbidden doesn't sound like it's not found. Assuming this is a Linux machine, when you copied the files did you copy them as root? Does the user that the web service runs under have the correct permissions to enter the directory?

Any chance you can share a link that we can see this error? Does the php page that you are linking from the iframe reside on your server or another?

When you say as root? do you mean the root user? I was given a login that they use which was admin and then some password. I downloaded the files straight out of their httpdocs folder.

I will check on the permissions for the login I was given. Although I believe they have all the needed permissions.
