It seems I can't search (with the simple search at top right) any more. For most search terms, I just get nothing. ie no result box overlayed on the page I am viewing. However, if I type my own user name into the search box, I get an error that says:
[#10339] The topic filter settings you submitted are not valid. Please go back and reset your topic filter settings.
Where would I find the topic filter settings.
Sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't even search for the topic.

It would be helpful if you can post what terms you were searching.

Terms I was searching:
Timer
Serial
DataGridView
and my username
lar3ry
The search for my username gave me the error. The rest did nothing, except that now, while testing the terms again, I see that they take me to the top of the Forums listing.

I tried the terms and all of them showed results. I even thought your profile wouldn't turn up but it did when I clicked the "Icon" link. When you search, do you click the tabs? There are tabs for Forum, Member Profile, All and others. Last thing, what browser are you using? Might be a browser problem.

When I search, the box with the results and the tabs across the top for things like forums, snippets, tutorials, etc. does not show up at all. It used to... I remember it being sort of brown & orange-ish (I think), but I have not seen it for a while now.
I have tried it with Pale Moon, which is a 'light' FireFox), FireFox, and Internet Explorer. All with the same results.

Hmm, I've confirmed it then, it doesn't work on IE9. On Firefox, it works but I'm using the latest version as of writing and I think you're using a lower version, is that correct?
However, it's working on Chrome.
Any mods care to take this one up? Is this going to be fixed or was this an issue before?

I was using FireFox 16.0.1, and just now downloaded an update to 16.0.2, but there's no change I can attribute to the newer version.
There actually is a change though.
IE9, the 64 bit and the 32 bit version now work just fine.
FireFox 16.0.2 and Pale Moon 64 bit V15.2 do not, but the symptoms have changed a bit.
Previously, a search for (for example) "timer" just took me back to the top level forum listing, and a search for "lar3ry" produced an error as follows:

Now, I get that error for both searches, on FireFox and Pale Moon.

Too bad bud, let's wait for someone to notice this thread. Just use whatever works for you now.
