I plan on entering the game industry one day. I plan on applying to digipen but I am not sure which course to take.
I want to take the game design course because it includes english and business classes that I think would be usefull to take, but I am not sure if I will be able to go into anything but game design if I fail in the game industry.
Will I only be able to go into the game industry with the game design degree?
Am I better off getting the Computer Science degree from there?
Thanks for the help,
Dartos

Look at the two programs and see what courses they offer. A "game design course" could be teaching you art and art-related tools and procedures, and have nothing to do with programming.
If you want to get into the games industry then you should be taking the game-related program, since it will teach you important tools and structure and process of game development that you won't get in other programs. Can you then go on to something different? Sure, but you'll need to learn some more of the specifics of that industry when you do.

The game design degree does teach a good amount of computer science (It is still a Bachelor of Science degree). But I don't want to spend all this time and money getting a game specific degree just to find out that I can't make it in the game industry.
I just want to know if I can have some other job choices with this degree.

I think you should go with the Computer Science degree. Games studios actually usually value degrees with high mathematical and physics content over specialised 'Games Development' degrees, and the rest of the computing industry will consider a Computer Science degree more relevant than a games degree.
