I will shortly be creating a Mobile App store.

An idea of mine was to have a grey, white and black colour scheme. On the left side of the page would be a silhouette of a tree and have phones attached and falling off the branches.

Could this be a little over the top?

Feel free to suggest some ideas

Not at the moment. Though I'm glad you mentioned that, will give me a better idea of how it'll look.

Yeah sketch that bad boy up... there's a crazy number of ways that could go right and horribly wrong. Though I am unsure of how to take the metaphor of the phones on the tree when this is dealing in apps for phones.

This is true, might come across as if I'm selling mobile phones themselves and not apps. Hmm.

It's clear - either they become low hanging cow nuts or a stylized version of your site's logo as fruit!

I shall make the tree a Christmas tree as well, yes? Maybe add some mobile apps underneath as presents with Santa screwing a 20 year old brunette?

Why stop for just christmas? Have a rotating graphic for all the more interesting holidays! Thanksgiving, Bastille Day, Boxing Day, etc!

Gives you lots of different varieties and you can even make your own. Check it out and good luck!
