Text Based Adventure Game - Avoiding one huge class.

Posted 03 November 2012 - 10:02 AM

Hey guys, I'm new to java and I was planning on making a "Text Based Adventure Game" and i was just wondering how i would go about like creating one class for like the main menu, and then you press one for a new game then it goes to another class that has like 1/4 of the game to avoid one big class then after you play through that fourth then you play through the 2/4 and so on, then i could compile it all into an .exe any help would be appreciated. (Help with compiling into an .exe would be helpful also).

Programs I have:

- BlueJ

- EclipseSDK

- Latest version of java JRE and JDK

I also have Notepad++.
