I was testing video podcasts on HTML5 video and I realized that they weren't working if the source URL redirected. For example The Verge Mobile Show podcast feed, if I open the first item's video source (this was the one tested) what Chrome does is exactly this:



But when I put the source URL in a <video> that was inserted on the page dynamically using jQuery, what I get is this:



What's causing this problem? Is there any workaround?

PS: If you insert the same <video> element manually it works.
