I was wondering if anybody knew any way of verifying yourself for SSL, without paying for it? I just want rid of the terrible looking message that prompts users when they join my site to add a security exception or be redirected, as it makes my site look malicious, it's really annoying. Even if you guys knew a cheap way to get SSL validation without the insane costs that you incur if you go through Symnatec or some other SSL verification company.

Help is greatly appreciated guys.

I have never seen a 'free' one.. I mean if they are providing authentication about legitimacy through a cert it's not a service to be handed out willy nilly. At best I've seen prices about $30/year. Seems reasonable.
