Space city Con is a general sci-fi convention (multiple franchises) plus gaming and LARP.
It seemed a good venue for Dream In Code folks as sci-fi, gaming, coding and general nerdness all overlap.
It takes place in Houston TX which is kinda central to East and West coast and has good airports (HOU) & (IAH), good BBQ and good of course NASA which would be fun to tour as a group.

I was think that since there is about 10 months advance notice it might be an event we can use for folk to meet up, have some laughs, some drinks, some food, some drinks, some gaming, some drinks.

I'm with B9 here, I'd love to go, but I don't think I'll be able to travel all the way to Texas to meet a few DIC heads. If it were in Atlanta, I'd be more than happy to meet up, though. Speaking of which, I still have yet to meet Craig328 or Dogstopper, both of which are currently residing within 20 miles of where I live.

Think you have marketed this the wrong way. If you said it was a stripper convention in Texas, no one would be complaning about it being to far away!!! (Texas, thats only a 12 hour flight from where I live, I practically live next door, I will be there :bigsmile: ) The DIC's love their strippers ;-)

Hey, it's a possibility! 816mi, 13hr 52min drive form our City. My car gets 35-37mpg, so, gas wouldn't be complete murder! :)
