My mom has this problem in her left hand. Actually she's had it for over 2 years now. She does some exercises, but from what I've heard in her calls, it comes and goes.

did they do the test where they poke your hand with metal prongs and shock you? I have nerve damage from birth that mostly effects my hands; one of the tests I had done they shocked my hands to test several nerves, the only painful one was the ulnar...'twas not pleasant.

I use to get the same problem because of my sleeping position preference.. It eventually went away. However, occasionally I find it enjoyable the Stranger

I might know an amateur taxidermist that could pose you on a nice tree stump with a laptop and surrounded by some books, and we can put the whole scene in the D.I.C. historical museum for future youth to view with reverence and awe.
"Mount" and "Stuff" strategically not used.

As for the malady at hand - have you thought about getting a folded towel or gel pads to lean your elbows on instead of a hard wood table?

You avoid "stuff" and "mount", but not "hard wood"?

But now that I think about it... do you just want me to will you my corpse? I was thinking of donating it to science, but I figure you'd put it to good use, too. :bananaman:/>

Go to Wendys instead.

Quote

About three weeks ago, I started noticing a pins-and-needles sensation in the pinky and ring fingers of my left hand and all the way down the side of my palm and into the side of my arm. I would switch my position and shake it out and it would go away.

Oh crap. At work I don't have this problem much, but at home, when I'm playing games on the PC or reading on the bed, my whole hand and arm will go numb just like you mentioned. I can move and shake it and it'll go away quickly, but it'll come back when I rest on my elbows again. I just thought it was because I was too fat and cutting off circulation or something...but if it's actually that I'm damaging a nerve...

Shit.

What are the therapy steps your doctor mentioned?

I'ma draw them for you. Cuz I have the freehand digital artistic skills of a 6-year-old using Paint. :)

First one:

  • Put your arm straight out in front of you and turn your palm toward the ceiling.
  • Bend your wrist down with your palm out, like so: Attached Image
  • Slowly bend your elbow up, straightening your wrist as you go.
  • Repeat 5 times, 3-4x daily.

Second one:

  • Put your arm straight out to the side and make a fist.
  • Curl your fist in toward your body, keeping your arm straight, like so: Attached Image
  • Slowly turn your arm, twisting your first toward the ceiling.
  • Repeat 5 times, 3-4x daily.

Should probably put this in a spoiler and give an nsfw warning or something... behold, a screenshot of the video beeneen and I made! This is everyone's subconscious desire.
Spoiler

The sooner we release that video, the sooner we'll be rolling in money. Maybe we could even use some of the screenshots (all as high quality as the one above) in the calendar.

That is some thick, square-looking jizz. You might want to have that looked at.

Nothing subconscious about my desires.

But that IS - legitimately - the full extent of my ability to draw freehand with a mouse.

I really don't see how your phallic-centric train of thought is my problem or why you are projecting your perceived vulgarity onto my art.

Update: Two days with these handy-dandy penile PT moves and constantly reminding myself to NOT lean and my fingers/hand now alternate between completely numb and pins-and-needles. It's still more numb than not, but I'm taking that as a good sign that it's starting to work. :bananaman:
