Recommend a Book for Objective C

Posted 19 November 2012 - 07:12 AM

Hello! I'm interested in diving in to Objective C to start learning mobile development. However, I'm a tad rusty on my C++ and don't know Objective C at all. I have done a bit in C#, but I'm most comfortable with Java.

Anyway, since C isn't my strongest point, I'd like to pick up a book to get up to speed on methodology and such. Something that either assumes I understand C++/C# going in or assumes I know nothing - either works, though I'd rather it assume I know nothing so that nothing basic is glossed over.

Common libraries and syntax reference is important too.

Anyway, I come here to ask because I could browse book reviews on Amazon all day long, but the best book recommendations I've had come from DIC. Plus, any book review is likely to say how helpful it was, but none are going to indicate which is 'the best.'

I'm happy to pick up more than one book, too, I'm just fishing for recommendations to get me started on the language. Specifics for design as a separate book would be awesome too!

Thanks!
