Two things that you can count on geeks for is reciting Monty Python, & watching Mister Bean. Rowan Atkinson has hinted that he may kill off Mr Bean to concentrate on theatre roles.

The actor, 57, said the globally-recognised creation had been a commercial success, but that playing childlike roles as a middle-aged actor could be perceived as 'a little sad'.



Launched on ITV in 1990, Mr Bean pulled in massive viewing figures including almost 19million for the 1991 episode The Trouble With Mr Bean.
The show ran until 1995 and was seen 245 countries and made Rowan a global star reportedly worth £71million.

I admit it's third in the running for me, but it's no shame to come in behind Python and Flowery Twats. Which season did you watch? Second season is the best if you ask me - by the time you get to the fourth, it's getting a little tired.

Fuck this snobby geekish anti-beanitude. Mr. Bean was great, the only thing I can think of is that some of the painful sketches- like sending himself Christmas cards- hit a little close to the mark for some of us.

yup, I was sitting on the couch at my parents reading the title and when I said "Mr. bean died" my parents gasped.

When I saw the title, I said "Again ?". I was fooled by an Indian local newspaper that Atkinson was dead and I was completely convinced of it until Johnny English Reborn came out. Somehow I just accepted it and didnt even verify.
