Qt For Windows 7

Posted 22 November 2012 - 12:26 PM

Hello everyone !
Does anyone know how I can install Qt on a Windows 7 64bits platform ?
I'd prefer Qt 5.0 ... but I think 4.8 does is fine.

Thank you in advance!

By QT do you mean QuickTime?

When I installed iTunes Quicktime installed with it - no problem.

Oh no , Sir .
Qt is a cross platform originally created by Trolltech and then it passed on to Nokia (yes, that Nokia). It is an awesome C++ library (and not only) for creating applications .

But thank you anway for your attention .

It seems to be well documented on the site you linked to, complete with "getting started" guides. So what's the problem?

I had it on a Windows XP 32 bit platform and it worked perfectly. But on this new computer I can't seem to be able to make it work right ... I tried everything I could think of

What exactly does that mean? What doesn't work? Having problems linking to the libraries? Can't install properly? Help us help you!

Well , I installed Qt , and Windows SDK 7 ( because It wouldn't detect any compiler nor debugger ), now I got only the compiler problem ... I also have Visual Studio 2010 Express installed so It should find a compiler .

I had the same problem when I tried to install Qt 5.0 on my laptop. I have Qt 4.8 on this computer at least.
