no2 - I think he's talking about when you get interrupted in the middle of a project... happens to me at least once daily... plugging away, doing my thing, when the phone rings or there's a knock at the door and a new project has suddenly become my top priority and the project I was just working on has to be sent to the back burner for a few hours/days/months... he's asking how do you remember specifically where you left off before being rudely interrupted and suddenly forced to change your focus.

Either way it still comes down to writing a note for yourself. Whether it was done when the project started or every time you walk away from your computer.
