decompile from and exe file

Post icon  Posted 06 July 2007 - 02:53 PM

I have a VB program I did about a year ago, some variables now need to be changed, BUT....my maching crashed and have lost the source code.

How can I decompile myVB exe file to its original state with all my coding so I can change a variable, and then re compile??

I have used a few, but alll they do is give me the form 1,2,and 3 and none of my coding, or a load of mumbo jumbo

I realy do not want to write this again, any help ANYONE PLEASE.

I can send the exe file to anyone who wants to try this, or tell me how to do it.

Thanks

MAD

What version of VB did you compile it with?

Sure, no probs.
I can try to help.
Attach your executable file here.

It would be great if you could fill me in on some additional information about your program such as What it does, How Many Forms it has and if Any API Functions have been used.

Disassembling it would reveal the same information at some stage, but It'll be a lot easier and faster If I know this beforehand.
