PHP 5.4 Extremely Slow on Windows Server 2008

Posted 28 November 2012 - 01:25 PM

Hi all,

I just started working with PHP at work, so we can move away from Coldfusion. However, I've run into a bit of a problem. We currently have Coldfusion and PHP installed on Windows Server 2008 with IIS 7. I used the Windows Web Installer to install PHP, so the configuration should be optimal. For some reason, though, PHP takes forever to load a page, but when I monitor the CPU and RAM usage it uses less than 1% of the CPU.

Any help or thoughts on the matter would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the reply!

I actually have that installed already. It was install automatically via the Windows Web Installer. It doesn't seem to be an issue of too much load on the server. It's more like PHP isn't being fully utilized. Only 0.5% to 1.0% of the CPU is being used when loading a script, and it takes at least 10 to 15 seconds.

@modi

I got the installer from here.

You installed "Fast CGI", right?

Yea, FastCGI is being used. Also, Thread-Safe is disabled.
