Another Weird Bug

Posted 02 December 2012 - 04:29 PM

Looks like maybe something is modifying Javascript function names prior to display. Originally thought it was in code tags, but I guess it's throughout.

See this post

Duplicated here, in code tags:
onreadystatechange

Had to be changed to:
onreadystatechange

and without:

onreadystatechange
Had to be changed to:
onreadystatechange

If a Mod/Admin edits this post, you can see the true case of the text.

test:
onReadyStateChange
onReadyStateChange onReadyStateChange

zero-width space seems to do wonders. bad fix, I know.

PS. also visible in quote’s source.

Onclick
(slightly more difficult, space after O. but still quick’n’dirty fixes.)

and it only seems to concern keywords. onReady is not affected.

Another bad fix - for non Admins/Mods - to see if case sensitivity is an issue with people's posts, is to "Quote + Reply" the post and read it over there. You'll see the real case in the quoted text.

Weird thing. If you look at the "onreadystatechange" words in the HTML source, it reads like this:
&#111;nreadystatechange

The "O" has been converted to a HTML entity...
