B9, the point of my post was that you could reduce your entire page to 2 or 3 buttons.

It took you 584 words to say that?

Man, I'm really sorry my derailing went this far.

I tried to rectify it with minimalism.

1. I suppose I see most advertising online but I don't pay attention to it (like betawar). The advertisement I pay attention to is generally around campus and around town.
2. Collge ads are preferable to many kinds I suppose. I would only click on it if it showed something really mind bending or odd. I'm not going to click on the typical "see this college, you should go here cuz X Y Z". I've already looked far more in depth on many colleges and what they offer from a more accurate objective point; there's probably nothing you can tell me about you college that I'm interested in or don't already know about, at least that's my attitude toward them. That said, I would look more if you employed something like nerd snipping or forced my to figure out what it was saying, forced me to think.
3. err...no cuz I haven't seen any recently.

Ok my advertisment sugestion is not really advertisement. I am in grade twelve and I can tell you what seemed to work. Everyone and I mean everyone does online advertising. Nice and easy and all however my recommendation is to invest on a good charismatic speaker dude/sales representative (I forget the job position some sort of councilor). Anyways why I say this is there is this one guy who came from across the country to talk to my school division. Him and his 1 hour long power point presentation were able to half convince most of my grade to pack up now and move 3000 kilometers away from home.

Ok so why a person and not some random add. Because everyone does random adds, however not too universities come to your school and present to you about what they are about. When you come to us in person it shows that you care because you are ready to send people a few thousand kilometers to meet and talk to us. Also nothing beats the human connection.

Just my personal experience.
BTW I hate ads.

Just for future reference, the shorthand for "advertisements" is "ads", not "adds". ^^ It is true though, a living body or large event will immediately gather more focus from the undeveloped zombies than a colorful short message composed of electronic bits or litter strategically posted in public domains.
