Hi all,
There is a little bit of nagging curiosity which has been eating away at me for quite some time now. Here it goes:
Does anyone know of any existent facility for detecting device signal strength and possibly signal quality through client side coding (preferably using the jQuery library)?
There does not seem to be anything currently online addressing this topic. Any takers?
Thanks.

Hey.
I doubt very much this is possible at all. The browsers themselves would have to provide some type of API for this, and something tells me you'd have a hard time getting Google, Apple and Microsoft to do that in any sort of consistent way, if at all. And that's not to mention other mobile browsers available for the mobile platforms, like Mozilla and Opera.
I'm afraid you'd have to write actual apps for each platform to access this type of hardware level information.
