It depends on the job, but OOP is something you should know as general developer knowledge.

You may not need it to get "a" PHP job, but you will need it if you want to get, and more importantly: hang on to, any sort of half way interesting job. There are a lot of "maintain this crappy, horribly designed code!" jobs out there that you may well get without knowledge of more advanced design principles (not that OOP is exactly advanced), but those are jobs you'll end up hating.

If you want more than that, you'll need to know more than just how to define functions and how to throw together some HTML/PHP infusion that kind of gets it done.

Could you let us know why you are asking the question?

If you need a job right away and are wondering if your current skills will land you one then what we say won't make a difference. The only thing that matters is what your interviewer thinks.

If on the other hand you are asking because you might want a job at some point in the future and are wondering if object orientated design would be a useful skill for a web developer, then yes. I class it as essential knowledge for a programmer in today's world and anyone who isn't up to scratch should be taking action to get up to speed.

I am making a big assumption here so apologies if I am wrong but your question sounds like you want to see if you can get away without learning object oriented programming. I think that would be a foolish mistake for anyone wanting a career in programming. It will cripple your ability to understand other people's code and will render you unable to write code that follows current guidelines of good style.
