Yesterday, I became a first time user of tables in my HTML, since I'm working on building my own forum system. Everything has worked flawlessly so far, except when I get to the replies to topics. I have two <td>'s, one for the user who wrote the reply, and the other for the user's message.

The problem comes in when you have a lot of text in one, and not much in the other; meaning the small block of text and stuff in the user's <td> gets moved down to the center of the <td> as if it were being padded, and the same goes for the reply text.

So how do I stop it from 'auto-padding'?
