Posted 12 December 2012 - 02:02 PM

I have attached a picture which shows what I am trying to create using HTML5 and CSS3. I am strugling trying to work how to add the diagonal lines used on the borders. Is there any tutorials or help which could help me achieve this style?

Moving to HTML/CSS

Those header and footer borders have no doubt been done in a graphic design program, such as Photoshop, and exported to png file. There's no real way to do that in CSS at the moment, not unless you want to have about 30 dom elements and classes all interacting with one another.

EDIT: I suppose you could do it with the canvas element, but as I said, graphic design would be the culprit
