Do you need a database to store the users or it can be just one hardcoded user?

I only need one user.
But if it easier to use a database then a database.

Using databases isn't an easy thing. The best way to do what you want is just create a simple PHP script (if your server supports PHP) to receive the form's content and check if they are equal to the ones you want. If you want to learn more about how to get the form information via PHP I suggest you to read PHP: Forms and User Input.

to sum it up, you need server support to sensibly make a login protection. because everything in JS and HTML can be looked at by the user.
